Telemundo said today it set a ratings record for the debut of its new telenovela, Los Victorinos, which premiered on Tuesday.
Based on final Nielsen ratings, the show, an original Telemundo production, which aired from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., averaged 995,000 adult 18-49 viewers, making it the Spanish-language net’s highest-rated original 10 p.m. premiere in network history.
Los Victorinos tells the story of three men with the same name born on the same day but with different fates.The show drew 1,577,000 total viewers in 841,000 households, according to Nielsen.
Los Victorinos was also one of Telemundo’s best prime-time premieres, ranking fourth behind El Cartel, Tierra de Pasiones and El Rostro de Analia.
The Los Victorinos premiere also exceeded the debut of Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso earlier this month by five percent among adults 18-49 and by 10 percent among adults 18-34, the network said.
Telemundo is owned by NBC Universal.
